Following on from the artwork I created for Assassins, which Watermill Theatre were a co-producer of, I was asked to develop artwork for The Wicker Husband.
A folk-inspired new musical woven from an exciting blend of storytelling, music and puppetry, The Wicker Husband tells the timeless tale of the outsider.
The show needed to appeal to family audiences, but as there are moments of darkness in the story, also needed to hint at a more serious side. The artwork was created by manipulating branches into a woven “wicker” effect to form the lettering and tree.
